These activities will help children with organization of like objects and cognitive flexibility
​Songs with Movements and Rhymes
Working memory and inhibitory skills are practiced in songs such as Freeze Dance or Five Green and Speckled Frogs.
Puzzles
Playing with puzzles will help with flexible reasoning and puzzles that involve numbers develops a flexible approach to numbers that may be beneficial later on in school. 
Imaginary Play
During imaginary play children need to use complex thinking and inhibit behaviors that don’t fit in the role they are playing.
