13-18 Months

Motor Skills
Practice kicking a ball on the ground, provide opportunities for play with musical instruments, play songs with instructions that they can follow, play fine motor games such as laces on a board, beading and painting with water.
​Sensory
Utilize sensory tables in your classroom, craft a treasure hunt activity and make your own kid-safe dough or slime to experience textures.
Social Skills
​Show pictures of faces with different emotions and verbally label and practice those faces, sing songs together with hand motions and dancing such as “Hokey-Pokey”, and practice in and out by having them put their toys in a bucket and take them out to learn about following directions.

19-24 Months

Motor Skills 
Create a small obstacle course where they can practice climbing over and under, practice using tongs to pick up items from a sensory bin or pipe cleaners off of a table, and utilize free play art time to practice fine motor skills and creativity.
Sensory
Hide items around the room for the children to search and find, sensory tables with bird seed, dried beans or rice, and hidden toys for them to dig and find and fill up a balloon with air and play catch.
Social Skills
Point at different body parts and have the child name them, use facial expressions to teach the children about basic emotions (happy, sad, mad), and play a game of follow the leader or Simon Says.
